Fire Extinguishers - Inspection, Service & Sales

Portable  fire extinguishers are intended as a first line of defence to cope with  fires of limited size. They are needed even if the property is equipped  with automatic sprinklers, standpipe and hose, or other fixed fire  protection equipment. Portable fire extinguishers are very effective  against small fires - but only if equipment is properly placed,  efficiently maintained, and used by trained individuals. As per NFPA 10 portable fire extinguishers shall be inspected annually, with hydrostatic testing taking place every 5 years, and recharging of the extinguishing agent every 6 years.

If you or your employees in your company look after testing and servicing, they must be trained and fully qualified to do so.
