Water Based Sprinkler Systems
Testing of wet and dry sprinkler systems has long since been an effective tool for ensuring proper operation of all components during a fire emergency. Sprinkler systems have evolved to allow for this testing to take place with very little disturbance to the system or occupants of the buildings.
Annual winterization of dry systems also extremely important in areas that are affected by freezing temperatures and can be accomplished quickly and cleanly in any type of installation. NFPA requirements state that Water Based Sprinkler Systems and their components be inspected annually for proper operation as well as 3 year full flow trip test on all dry valve systems to ensure adequate operation or dry pipe value and quick opening device (QOD), confirmation that water flows through the system efficiently to the end of line within the time required.
We also offer 5 Year hydrostatic testing of existing Fire Department Connections and 5 Year flow testing of building standpipe systems.
Fire Alarms
Fire alarms are the the key component in any fire protection system, allowing the initiating devices to respond to emergencies by signalling within the building by means of bells, horns, strobes or a combination of all 3. The importance of a properly working fire alarm panel in the instance of a emergency is second to none, our inspection ensures nothing will go unnoticed. As per NFPA 72 all fire alarms, initiating devices and signals must be inspected annually.
Emergency Lighting
Inspection and testing of emergency lighting is important for proper functionality during a fire event to ensure safe passage of occupants. From the lighting pack to the batteries we sell, test & inspect a full line of Emergency lighting packs for all types of building structures. As per NFPA 101 Emergency lighting packs shall be inspected and tested annually to ensure the units meet the 90min illumination time requirement.
Inspections of fire protection systems are carried out by our ASTTBC trained technicians, and must be inspected annually as per NFPA codes.
